You moved cities. Your people didn't.

Fribe gets you into real plans with a handful of people, not a crowd of two hundred. Brunches, gigs, treks and game nights, a few seats at a time.

On in Hyderabad this week

Brunch Sun 11:30 Indie gig Fri 9:00 Sunrise trek Sat 5:30 Game night Fri 8:00

The whatsapp group died in march. “Let's make a plan” — nobody makes the plan. Your feed is other people's weekends. Same 3 colleagues, same 1 café. New city hits different at 9pm friday.

Your social life shouldn't be watching other people have one.

You've texted “wyd” to four people. Everyone's “kinda tired, next week for sure?”

You know 40 people in this city. You'd call exactly zero of them for brunch right now.

Another weekend of stories watched, plans scrolled past, and “I should really put myself out there.”

There's a plan.

How Fribe works

You don't browse people. You browse plans.

An interest isn't a plan.

Half your city likes filter coffee, live music and long walks. None of that puts anyone in the same room on a Thursday.

A plan has a time, a place and a host.

That's the whole difference. Someone picked a Thursday, named a café and said how many people fit. Now there's something to actually say yes to.

Then people gather around it.

You ask to join, the host says yes, and the group chat opens. Everyone there got in the same way — nobody wandered in, and nobody is being matched with anybody.

Plans that actually happened.

A game night in Madhapur, a flat party in Koramangala, a Sunday in Indiranagar that ran long. Next week's are already up.

Reference imagery. Swap it the day you have your own.

From “new here” to “my people” in four moves.

1

Find a plan

Browse what's on near you as a list or on the map. Filter by vibe, by when you're free, and by how far you'll actually travel.

2

Ask to join

Some plans are open, some need the host's yes. Either way the host sees who's asking before anyone turns up.

3

Show up

Time, place and the meeting spot are all in the app, and the plan's own chat sorts out the rest beforehand.

4

Stay in it

That chat stays open after. The people you clicked with are one tap from the next plan — or from hosting one.

Everything a plan needs, in one place.

No cross-posting to three group chats, no spreadsheet of who's actually coming.

Discover what's on

Live plans near you, as a list or on the map. Filter by vibe, time window and distance.

Host your own

Title, vibe, time, place, how many people fit. Publish it in about a minute.

Join with the host's yes

Open joining or approval-based, your call. Requests are tracked, and capacity is enforced.

Chat inside the plan

Every plan gets its own group chat — photos, replies, and the running “where is everyone”.

Share it around

Send a plan to anyone with a link. They land straight on it and can ask to join.

Built to feel safe

Face checks, host approval, private locations until you're in, and ratings after.

The hard part isn't joining. It's leaving the house.

Two hours before a plan, it goes live. You watch five people move toward the same roof, and flaking suddenly costs something.

This is not another app you'll delete in a week.

Not a dating app

No swiping. No matching.

Nobody is ranking you against anyone. You're joining something that was already happening, and the conversation has a subject.

Not a dead group chat

Plans with a date on them.

Every plan carries a time, a place and people who confirmed. “We should totally do this” turns into Thursday.

Not a networking event

Zero lanyards. Zero pitches.

Nobody's collecting contacts. Small groups doing an actual thing, and you leave with people rather than business cards.

Not a free-for-all

Somebody's always at the door.

Hosts set the rules and approve who joins. Faces are checked, and the exact spot stays private until you're in.

The part nobody likes talking about

Meeting strangers is a big ask. We know.
So we made it a smaller one.

Faces get checked

A live selfie, matched against the profile photo. No match, no profile. It's not a badge you can buy.

The host picks who comes

Plans can be open or approval-only. On an approval plan nobody walks in uninvited — you see who's asking, and their profile, before you say yes.

The address unlocks when you're in

Until a host approves you, you see the area and nothing sharper. The venue and the meeting spot come after.

Plan rules the app enforces

Who a plan is for, the age range, how many fit. Not a line in the description that everyone ignores — the app holds the door.

Nothing happens in DMs

There's no way to message a stranger privately. Every conversation lives in the plan's own group chat, where everyone in the plan can see it.

Everyone rates everyone, after

Did people show up, did it feel alright. No-shows stick to the account. Block anyone, any time, no reason needed.

You agreed to a zero-tolerance policy the day you signed up. So did everyone you'll ever meet here.

Questions people actually ask

Is this a dating app?

No. No swiping, no matching, no private messages to strangers — every conversation happens in the group chat attached to a plan. People do make real friends here, and sure, some of them end up as more than that. It's just not what we built.

Is it safe to meet people from Fribe?

Every profile is checked with a live selfie matched against the photo. Every plan has a host who approves each person who asks to join. The exact address only shows once you're approved. After the plan, everyone rates everyone, and no-shows stay on the account.

What if I turn up and it's awkward?

The plan does the hard part. There's a thing to do and a reason everyone's there, so nobody has to invent a conversation from nothing. Groups are small, and the plan's chat usually gets going before anyone turns up.

Do I have to organise anything?

No. Join plans other people made, for as long as you like. Hosting is there when you want it, and publishing one takes about a minute.

Who can see where I am?

Nobody. We never share your location. A plan shows the area it's in, not the address, until the host approves you. The venue and the meeting spot come after that.

What if someone doesn't show up?

Mark it when you rate the plan. No-shows stay on the account, and hosts see that history before they approve anyone.

Can I bail after joining?

Yes, cancel from the plan. Do it early so the host can give your place to someone else.
